Urban Sketchers Symposium 2019
This year, our team joined the Urban Sketchers Symposium in summerly Amsterdam and enjoyed the creative vibes of the USk community. Apart from all the inspiration from the workshops and popular Sketch Walks, attendees were excited to come over visit us and get a personal embossing of their notebooks and sketchbooks.
TED Summit 2019
This year, LEUCHTTURM1917 joined the TED Summit 2019 in Edinburgh, Scottland as official partner with a special surprise: custom-made notebooks with the event logo on the cover. An exciting program including performances, workshops, future-focused discussions and the world-famous TED Talks was waiting for the attendees.
SEEK 2019 in Berlin
The great atmosphere during Fashion Week and inspiration wherever you go - that's why SEEK Berlin is always worth a visit. This year again, we had lots of fun in the capital.
Forward Festival in Hamburg
On July 4th and 5th, the Forward Festival took place in Hamburg, supported by sponsor LEUCHTTURM1917. A great mix of analogue and digital topics was delighting the attendees, who could swap ideas and channel their creativity in various workshops.
Bauhaus at Stilwerk
Our special edition “100 Years Bauhaus” is currently part of a unique exhibition at Stilwerk. The artist group of Olff Appold, Kai Brüninghaus and Jürgen Sandfort celebrates the Bauhaus design with classic and experimental photography, a mix of photography and graphic design, short films, digital animations and visualisations.
Until July 17th, you can visit the exhibition at Stilwerk Berlin and from August 19th until September 19th at Stilwerk Düsseldorf.
The exhibition at Stilwerk Hamburg has already enchanted the visitors in Northern Germany.

Special edition "100 Years Bauhaus" wins Red Dot Design Award 2019
LEUCHTTURM1917 has won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019 in the category “Office supplies and stationery” for its special edition “100 Years Bauhaus”.
To us, Bauhaus has always been a source of inspiration for our product development, and therefore we have created the special edition to celebrate its centenary in 2019. The notebooks, pencils, Pen Loops and the unique display reflect the Bauhaus design principles in every detail. The renowned Red Dot Design Award now honours the common design roots of LEUCHTTURM1917 and Bauhaus.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the major design awards worldwide. Products are awarded by the Red Dot jury for good design quality and high innovation potential. Laureates set trends in the design industry, paving the way to future concepts which shape our everyday life.
This year, LEUCHTTURM1917 presented a very special booth at Paperworld in Frankfurt, including a theme walk along different product categories and an extra bar for refreshments.
Following the motto "Everything starts from a dot.“ by Wassily Kandinsky, this Paperworld was the starting point for the Bauhaus anniversary year at LEUCHTTURM1917. For the first time worldwide, the new special edition "100 Years Bauhaus" was presented. Alongside the notebooks, pencils and Pen Loops of the edition, the innovative display in typical Bauhaus (Mondrian) style received praise from visitors.
